学院概况

今天，我们步行去了暨南大学校园食堂，吃了一顿丰盛的早餐。然后我们上了第一节课，那是关于安全程序的讲座。我们学到了很多，尤其是如何应对高温和当地的昆虫!然后，我们开心地上了第二节课，那是一节泥塑课，我们制作了著名神话人物张飞的泥塑。这是一个很好的互动方式，让我们了解广受欢迎的《三国演义》的中国故事，也让我们尝试了陶艺。午餐和下午休息后，我们参加了在暨南大学学习表演艺术的一群泰国学生的毕业典礼。我们为他们的学业成果而开心到欢呼，为他们对中国民间故事《梁祝》的滑稽表演而开怀大笑。然后我们继续吃晚饭，在旅馆和其他的小伙伴一起享受了一个愉快的晚上。

We started the day today with a walk to the Jinan University campus cafeteria, where we had a lovely breakfast. We then went to our first class, which was a lecture on safety procedures. We learned a lot, especially with how to deal with the heat and local insects! Then, we enjoyed our second class, a sculpture lesson in which we made toy models of the famous mythical Chinese figure, Zhang Fe. This was a great interactive way for us to learn about the popular "Three Kingdoms" Chinese story, as well as to try our hands at clay art. After a lunch and afternoon break, we attended the graduation ceremony of a group of Thai students studying performing arts at Jinan University. We cheered for their achievements, and laughed so hard at their comical performance of the Chinese folk story, "The Butterfly Lovers". We then proceeded to dinner and enjoyed an evening at the hotel with fellow campmates.

在餐厅吃完午饭后，我们在酒店休息了两个小时。然后我们去了暨南大学，为来自泰国的在该校学习了5个月的学生举行了毕业典礼。颁奖后，他们表演了一场名为《梁祝》的中国戏剧。这场戏剧讲述的是一对命运多舛的恋人，尽管彼此相爱却无法在一起的故事。无论如何，他们对彼此的感情占了上风，但时机并不在他们的一边，当女孩与他人订婚的同时男孩也因病去世。这个消息让她悲痛欲绝，她在他的坟墓上自杀了，他们在死后又化为蝴蝶重聚在一起。毕业生们的表演非常出色，因为听众们对他们说的每一个字和每一个动作都很感兴趣。我个人很喜欢喜剧的一面，也很想再看一次同样的演员的表演。

After lunch in the dining hall, we had a two hour break back at the hotel. We then walked a the university and sat through a graduation for students who came from Thailand and studied at the school for 5 monthes. After the awards they had a performance showcasing their chinese in a play called “ The Butterfly Lovers” . It revolves around two star-crossed lovers who could not be together despite their love for each other. Through thick and thin, their feelings for each other prevailed, but timing was not on their side and the guy passed away from an illness while the girl was engaged to another. The news devastated her and she committed suicide on his grave and they were reunited in the afterlife as butterflies. The performance given by the graduates were exceptional as the audience held onto every word and movement given to them. I personally enjoyed the comedic side of the scenes and would love to see it again w the same performers :)
