我们很荣幸地向您通知，中澳双语学术研讨会将在2015年11月2日至4日在美丽的暨南大学广州校区召开。本次会议是第三届以双语双文化为主题的学术会议。前两次会议在澳大利亚西悉尼大学召开，取得了圆满成功。在去年的会议中，西悉尼大学与暨南大学联合实验室（BRL@UWS-JNU）成功启动，国际知名专家学者及悉尼广大的多语社区民众共同见证了这一时刻。两校联合实验室的启动仪式被澳中多家媒体报导和转载。主要媒体包括新华社，人民网，《澳大利亚人》报，悉尼主要华人报纸，TVS电视台，SBS电视台，SBS广播电台及二十多家政府及教育网站。
The China-Australia Symposium on Bilingualism will be held in the beautiful campus of Jinan University, Guangzhou, China from 2 to 4 November 2015 (followed by an optional cultural fieldwork on 5 or 6 November). This is the third symposium on bilingualism and intercultural communication. The previous two, held at Western Sydney University, achieved great success including the launch of the Bilingualism Research Lab at Western Sydney University, as a joint venture with Jinan University. The events welcomed the participation of international experts and distinguished scholars, members of multilingual communities and received significant media publicity both in China and Australia, with reports featuring in The Australian newspaper, Xinhua News, People.cn, TVS TV, SBS TV, several Radio stations and 23 global web news.
本次会议由暨南大学华文学院和西悉尼大学人文与传播艺术学院联合举办。暨南大学是目前全国国际学生数量最多的大学，在华文教育领域享有盛誉。西悉尼大学坐落在具有多语多元文化的西悉尼地区（例如，当地一所中学1600名学生中就有69种语言），在双语学与华文及日文教学与研究方面独树一帜。
This coming symposium is jointly organized by the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Jinan University and School of Humanities and Communication Arts, Western Sydney University. Jinan University, with the largest number of overseas students in China, is famous for its Chinese language and cultural education for overseas students. Western Sydney University, well-known for its research and teaching in bilingualism and its Chinese and Japanese language programmes, sits in the middle of the most linguistically and culturally diverse region in Sydney (e.g. one secondary school in the region houses 69 languages among its1600 students).
本次研讨会邀请多名国际国内知名专家，为广大师生提供学习和科研交流的宝贵机会。暨南大学联合双语实验室（BRL@JUN-UWS）将在本次会议中正式启动。同时，还会专门为家长、早教及幼儿教育人员举办“如何培育双语儿童”工作坊，使家长和幼儿教育工作者能够有机会和多名国际著名的儿童双语学研究专家进行面对面的交流，以获取宝贵的建议和建设性的指导。
This Symposium at Jinan offers a great opportunity for students, staff and educators to share research ideas, methods, findings and student projects. Significantly there will be the launch of the Jinan component of the Joint Bilingualism Research Lab, as well as providing a golden opportunity for an open workshop on bringing up children bilingually as well as face-to-face engagement of parents, teachers and students with leading researchers to obtain valuable guidance, constructive feedback and inspiration towards new solutions.
